Basic Technical Training (BTT)

RS Windtech is the first wind industry service provider recognised by GWO as its channel partner for training in India. Our BTT programme provides wind industry personnel with the core technical skills needed to safely and effectively work on wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

BTT Modules

1
Mechanical (1.25 Days)

Main components, mechanical systems and basic operation of wind turbines, identifying mechanical risks and hazards, principles of bolted and welded connections and their inspection, and correct, safe use of handheld tools.

Electrical (1.25 Days)

Basics of electricity, sensors, functions and symbols of electrical components, identifying electrical risks and hazards, interpreting and assembling a simple electric diagram, and performing correct, safe measurements.

Hydraulics (1 Day)

Basics of hydraulics, functions of pumps, actuators, valves, accumulators and sensors, oil handling procedures, identifying hydraulic risks and hazards, and accurate hydraulic pressure measurement.

Bolt Tightening (1 Day)

Fundamentals of bolted joints, identifying risks and hazards associated with bolt torquing and tightening, types of bolts and torquing strength, and bolt torquing and tensioning to specification using powered equipment.

Installation (2.25 Days)

Main installation activities and principles of lifting equipment, identifying installation-environment risks and hazards, basic mechanical, electrical and hydraulic completion, and operating external generators during installation.
