Basic Safety Training (BST)

RS Windtech is the first wind industry service provider recognised by GWO as its channel partner for training in India. Our BST programme equips wind industry personnel with essential safety competencies through a comprehensive mix of classroom instruction and hands-on practical training at our Aralvoimozhi facility.

Fresher: 4 days • Refresher: 3 days

2-year certification, refresher required every 2 years

BST Modules

1
First Aid (1 day)

First aid principles, lifesaving first aid, assessing injuries and illnesses, and CPR and defibrillator training.

Fire Awareness (0.5 day)

Fire safety principles, identifying fire hazards, contingency planning, evacuation procedures and fire prevention measures.

Manual Handling (0.5 day)

Manual handling principles, identifying hazardous manual handling tasks, safe lifting techniques, and risk assessment using the TILE principle to prevent musculoskeletal disorders.

Working at Heights (2 days)

Fall hazard identification, safety equipment (harnesses, lanyards, etc.), safe access and egress procedures, and rescue procedures.

Training Objectives

  • Understand and identify potential hazards in the wind industry
  • Develop skills to respond to emergencies and prevent accidents
  • Learn safe working practices and procedures
  • Understand the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • In case of an emergency, be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate first aid to casualties
